Special needs patients
The Esdens Dental Center team is prepared to provide the best possible dental care to all children, including those with special needs. The American Pediatric Dentistry Association defines special needs patients as those who have a physical, mental, sensory, behavioral or emotional impairment as well as any other limiting condition that requires specialized medical care and/or the use of special services or programs. We are specifically trained to diagnose dental problems in these patients and treat them in our practice.
If the patient is not able to care for himself or herself, it is essential that the people who are in daily contact with the individual take charge of prevention and other important aspects of oral health.
Our goal is for these patients to be able to enjoy a healthy mouth with the help of parents and caregivers, establishing a long-lasting relationship.
